Domarn Group by Adam
Government-grade content, delivered precisely. Complex design documents transformed into clean, accessible HTML and Govspeak, ready for direct publication on GOV.UK with nothing left to fix.
The brief
Domarn Group is a London creative agency whose clients include some of the UK's most recognisable public sector organisations. The challenge is consistent: complex designed documents, policy papers, annual reports and consultation documents produced in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word, delivered as publication-ready content for GOV.UK.
Not adapted. Not reformatted on arrival. Delivered correctly structured, fully accessible, and ready to go live without further processing by the publishing team.
The output required two formats simultaneously: clean HTML formatted to the GOV.UK technical publishing standard, and Govspeak, the markdown dialect used by the government's content management system. Both meeting the UK government's accessibility requirements and content design patterns without exception.
The work
Documents at this level carry real complexity. The source files contain nested tables, hierarchical headings, image assets, footnotes and structural formatting that carries meaning beyond its appearance on the page. Handling that accurately requires working with the document's underlying structure, not its surface.
- HTML and Govspeak produced as part of the same workflow
- Tables handled correctly: structured, labelled and accessible
- Images matched to their source positions with appropriate alt text
- Heading hierarchies and content structure preserved accurately
- Full compliance with GOV.UK accessibility and content design standards
The output arrives ready for the publishing team to use. Nothing left to clean up, reformat or correct. The same care for clean, precise HTML runs through the adambarnes.biz build, applied to performance and AI search visibility.
The outcome
The Department for Transport has been the principal project through Domarn Group for three consecutive years. Each delivery has met their specification exactly, confirmed by the team on every round.
Government publishing operates to tight timelines and exacting standards. A document that arrives incorrectly structured, inaccessibly formatted, or requiring further processing is a problem. One that arrives ready to publish is not.
What previously required weeks of manual processing and recoding is now delivered complete. The work continues as new documents come through.
