Cambridge's prime property buying agency. A bespoke WordPress build for a niche consultancy operating at the top end of the residential market, where the digital presence needs to match the properties it represents.
The brief
Gardner Denley operates at the top end of the Cambridge residential market. Their clients expect clarity, discretion and confidence from the first interaction.
The existing website didn't reflect that. It lacked structure, presence and the authority needed to match the properties and clients they deal with. The new site needed to feel controlled, considered and credible from the first glance.
The work
Creative direction came from David Porter, a consultant creative director with 40 years across TV, press and branding, including Leo Burnett London. Working together from the initial client meetings through to the finished site meant David's creative thinking could be shaped by what Elementor could genuinely deliver, with custom CSS used to push beyond its limits where needed.
A custom WordPress build using Elementor formed the foundation, with bespoke CSS throughout to remove template constraints and give precise control over layout and behaviour.
Every decision was deliberate:
- Typography chosen to carry weight without excess
- Spacing used to create pace and clarity
- Navigation simplified to reduce friction
- Content hierarchy structured to guide rather than decorate

The outcome
The site works as a key entry point for new relationships, reinforcing credibility before any direct contact is made. The team can update content and refine messaging without friction, keeping the site current without ongoing redevelopment.
